W&H Dentalwerk Bürmoos GmbH was recently awarded the “Austrian National Award for Innovation” for their excellent product “Primea Advanced Air”.

With this new drive technology for dental turbine handpieces, W&H is first in the world to provide an innovative solution with very advanced and extended options for dental restoration and prosthetics. The handpieces are also the first to offer 100% shadow-free illumination of the treatment site with the ring-shaped LEDs on the small turbine head.

“ACMIT is a research and development partner of W&H for many years. In the course of the development of the Primea Advanced Air, ACMIT performed important basic development of the regulated turbine and the ring-shaped LED lighting. Furthermore, ACMIT provided first functional models, which we then further developed to a serial market-ready product.” says Dr. Wilhelm Brugger, Management F&E.

The “Austrian National Award for Innovation” is the highest honor of the Austrian Republic for an Austrian company and their employees, who essentially contribute to long-term economic development with their innovative problem-solving skills.
