CSO Gernot Kronreif therefore was invited by the Institute for International Research (IIR) to provide an insight into the state of the art in medical engineering at the IIR Forum in Vienna. He highlighted reduction in invasiveness, miniaturization, operation room integration as well as work-flow optimization and cost transparency. Kronreif illustrated his talk with up to date examples. The following discussion with the audience deepened ideas and suggestions for work flow optimization, strategic planning and day to day running of a hospital facility.
