Multi-Functionality in Surgical Tools
To facilitate the surgical work and reduce the risks for the patient, reduction of intervention time is an important aspect. By combination of multiple functions into one single instrument, we avoid unnecessary insertion and pull back procedures, which are necessary when using mono-functional tools. By application of small actuators and effective design engineering, we are able to introduce multi-functionality into the confined space available in tools for minimally invasive surgery.
