Tool-Box for Assessment of Work-Flow and Usability

Beside of providing with the specified functionality, proper integration of new technology as well as safe and intuitive operation are key factors for a successful application in the OR. Analysis of work-flow for the system in question (under consideration of the complete process chain) and investigation of usability and functionality (= "usefulness") - two aspects which show very strong inter-relations - should accompany the entire development process. The tool-box developed in this project should serve as a handy method to document and analyse the work-flow of existing procedures as well as to analyse usability aspects. Main focus is on a stringent data-flow from documentation of work-flow to analysis and identification of optimization potential as well as the connection of the process documentation to a formalized usability evaluation.
